The Object of Boxing is To Hit and Not Get Hit
The object of boxing is to hit and not get hit.
It is your job to discourage opponents from attacking you. The fewer punches they throw, the fewer punches they can land.
Here are some ways to discourage an opponent.
- Feint - the threat of an attack can be as effective as an actual attack.
- Movement - a moving target is harder to hit than a stationary one.
- Control - keep your opponents off balance by pushing and pulling their arms, torso and head.
