I have a newfound appreciation for the history of motorcycles, learning about the engineering and artistic genius from years gone by.
The “Scout 101” was produced from 1928 - 1932.
To ride the Scout would take some getting used to, as the clutch operated via a foot pedal. You went through the gears by taking your hand off the grip and selecting the gears with a tank-mounted stick shift. If that wasn’t enough, you will be constantly fiddling with the hand-grip mounted spark advance, trying to keep the beast fired up.
