This philosophy is the foundation of my teachings.
When you have a way of doing something (eg. using mostly arms for defence), or your opponent can describe your “style” (eg. fights going forward), or a fighter senses that you are limited in a certain area (eg. inside fighting), the result is that you are allowing opponents to figure you out.
A great fighter is a puzzle that is very difficult to solve.
